This GRIT&GRACE boudoir session was for ME! My motivation was ME! I was interested to see myself outside of what I see day to day. I want to be 80 years old and look back on these photos and see a true badass that took her life back and lived a great one.
Looking in the mirror, I’ve never seen myself as beautiful. Throughout my life I’ve felt cute, but never really beautiful. When I saw the slideshow at the photo reveal, I was in shock. The woman in the photos was stunning. She was gorgeous. She was me! Thank you for providing me the outlet to see myself how I truly am. I shared my photos with someone special and they said that I look like that every day. That I am as beautiful in the pictures as I am every time they see me.
My photos are a reminder of how hard I’ve worked, both physically and emotionally, to get to where I am right now. They are also a motivation to keep working on myself to become the best version of me that I can be.
I love the photos where I’m laughing. I normally pick apart the lines on my face, but I look so full of joy that the laugh lines and crows feet don’t even matter. Those things just symbolize a life that is being lived. I am beautiful without retouching and without a filter.
Seeing yourself in a different way, not in a selfie, not in the bathroom mirror, makes you realize that you’ve got a lot more inside of you than you know. It’s not just about being sexy; it’s about finding your true inner beauty and letting it shine.
My photos say how brave I am. Not just for embracing my body and doing a boudoir session, but for changing my entire life at age 41 and becoming the woman I was truly meant to be!
I am STRUTTING my stuff! My confidence is higher than it’s ever been. I feel sexier and I’m still in shock that I can take such beautiful photos.
I would definitely do GRIT&GRACE again! I’m still a work in progress, and I cannot wait to see what happens next. Plus, some of the pics are really some badass fine art! I could see them hung in a gallery.
