Am I too old for Boudoir Photos?

Am I too old for Boudoir Photos?

Not a chance!! I've photographed women in their 40s, 50s, 60s—even their 80s. Beauty doesn't expire—it evolves. Every line, every curve, every lived moment is part of your story. Midlife and beyond is when so many women stop apologizing and start fully living. It's actually the *perfect* time to be photographed.

From Kalamazoo to Grand Rapids to Detroit, my midlife boudoir photography is about claiming space, rewriting your story, and celebrating the woman you are TODAY—with artistry and intention. Women drive from all over the state for this experience!

Do I need to lose weight before my session?

Do I need to lose weight before my session?

Absolutely not. Your worth doesn't rise or fall with the scale. This experience honors the body you have *right now*—the one that's carried you through life, loss, growth, and everything in between.

My body-positive boudoir photography in Kalamazoo is about honoring the body you live in today—every scar, curve, and freckle tells the story of *you*. With editorial lighting, intuitive posing, and presence coaching, you'll see yourself in a completely new way.

Spoiler: it's never been about the numbers. It's about breaking down the system that taught us our bodies were problems to solve instead of homes to love.

What if I'm not photogenic or don't like photos of myself?

What if I'm not photogenic or don't like photos of myself?

So many women say this! Here's the truth: being 'photogenic' isn't about your features, it's about feeling seen and valued. Through my emotive coaching process, we use breath and movement to help you connect with your authentic self. The camera captures that inner light, not just your exterior.

I guide you through every pose and expression—you don't have to figure anything out on your own. It's like a game of Simon Says! I coach everything—your breath, body language, even subtle expressions—so you're never left wondering what to do. If you need breaks, we take breaks. If something doesn't feel right, we adjust.

And when you see your final gallery? Most clients can only say one word: *"WOW!!!!*

What if I feel nervous?

What if I feel nervous?

Good—that means this matters to you! Nearly every client arrives nervous, and by the end they're telling me it was one of the best experiences of their life. We start with conversation to get you comfortable, then I guide you through breathing exercises before we begin with clothed poses.

In my 20 years as a photographer, I've become known for making people instantly comfortable. If you need breaks, we take breaks. If something doesn't feel right, we adjust. This is YOUR experience. You'll feel safe, seen, and supported through every frame.

I'm plus-size—will boudoir flatter me?

05. Add your FAQ question here lorem ipsum dolor

Absolutely—and then some. Curves were made to be photographed with intention. As a plus-size boudoir photographer in Kalamazoo (Hey, I'm a curvy gal too!), I specialize in using mood, light, and expert coaching to highlight the beauty of every body. I'll guide every movement—hips, shoulders, hands, breath—so your images feel natural, powerful, and elevated. In my West Michigan studio, plus-size boudoir is all about softness, strength, and sensuality showing up in the same frame.

When should I book my experience?

When should I book my experience?

The best time is when you feel tired of waiting to feel "ready."
I typically book a few months out but also have clients book a year in advance to take advantage of payment plans.
Because of my personal client attention and luxury experience, I only take a limited number of commissions per year.

Many clients say they wish they'd booked sooner—not because they needed to "prepare," but because they spent months overthinking what turned out to be one of the best decisions they ever made.

So, if you're feeling called to this experience, don't wait! Book your free Next Level consultation call as soon as you feel that spark of maybe it's time.

Will my images stay private?

Will my images stay private?

Your images are 100% private and confidential unless YOU decide to share them. I never post client images without explicit written permission. Your private gallery is password-protected and only accessible to you.

Do I need to bring outfits?

Do I need to bring outfits?

Yes, and it's better that way! I provide styling guidance through my Vibe Guide Magazine and our Creative Planning Call so you wear pieces that actually fit your body and style. I have a few layering items at the studio, but authentic always beats generic. The goal is you looking like yourself—just elevated!

do you offer payment plans?

do you offer payment plans?

Yes! My clients love our payment plan options. All sessions require a collection purchase. You may pay in full or use our convenient 0% in-house payment plan with 3/6/9/12 installment options. We also partner with Klarna and Affirm for experience-now, pay-later options that offer extended payment plans up to 36 months with interest rates that are much lower than most credit cards.

On average, my clients invest around $4800, however, I do offer introductory experiences that start at only $3600. My most popular package is the Foxy 50, a client favorite! My people love FAR more photos than they ever thought they would. True story!

What makes boudoir worth the investment?

What makes boudoir worth the investment?

Because this isn't just a photo shoot—it's a reset. These images become tangible proof of who you are and who you're becoming. When you finally see yourself clearly—strong, sensual, powerful—you start showing up differently everywhere. My clients leave standing taller, speaking louder, and making braver choices in their lives, careers, and relationships.

You'll walk away with museum-quality albums and artwork, plus something even more lasting: a deeper connection to your body, your voice, and your worth.

What if my partner doesn't approve?

What if my partner doesn't approve?

This experience is about YOU reconnecting with yourself. While many clients share their images with partners (who are usually gobsmacked btw!), it isn't required. Some clients do this purely for themselves. Your images, your choice. This is an investment in your relationship with yourself first.
